At the end of a cold month of February, around 2AM, Charles was returning home from a party and passed by the New School University in downtown New York when he spotted this very diligent student, still hard at work. He stood there for at least 20 minutes to take this picture, wishing to get it just right. It’s a testament to the student’s concentration that during this whole time he never once looked up from his books.
Charles is a promising photographer trying to capture reality with his old but decent Pentax SP 1000. He started to frame the world in analogue black and white when he was living in Lisbon and New York and has never stopped shooting since. After he experimented with his own prints and compositions, he decided to start sharing his newer work with a willing audience.
